We Are the Champions!
A letter to you from Michael Marks
“OK. I have to start off by bragging a little (or maybe a lot). After 52 years, we have finally won a championship in Cleveland! If you know me, you know I’m a huge sports fan, and winning a championship is something special. It’s everything I hoped it would be and more. I have to say, winning a championship takes a little luck, but more importantly, it takes a great team all working together for a common goal.”
There are always new and exciting things happening at SedonaOffice, especially right now. Click below to read Michael’s entire letter to you, our users.

What do you like best about your job? Our team dynamic has to be one of the most fun, hard-working, cooperative and cohesive team that I’ve ever worked for. This is something I look forward to each and every day that I come to work. I also really enjoy solving problems and digging around to find solutions for our customers.
What is something you’d like to share with our customers? The support team welcomed me in January, and I have learned so much regarding SedonaOffice, but I think I learn the most from our customers! It’s been a pleasure to have the opportunity to speak with so many of you. You teach me new things every day.
What is one super fun fact about you? I am fluent in German, but I was raised in North West Ohio, where the language wasn’t even offered in high school. When I got to college, through classes and a study abroad program in Karlsruhe, Germany, I picked it up so quickly that I learned various programming languages for the first time (mainly SQL) completely in German!
AP Credit Card
What you need to know to fix the problem
When a bill is paid by a credit card, and it is subsequently discovered that the bill amount was not correct, it is not possible to “void” the transaction. The transactions to correct this error are no different than what is done when an item is returned to a store after discovering that what was charged to the credit card was incorrect.
- A credit is entered directly on the credit card’s vendor account to offset the amount of the incorrect bill. The GL account on the expense line of the credit will be the GL number assigned to the credit card that was used for the transaction. This will debit the accounts payable account and credit the credit card account.
- A new bill for the correct amount is then created on the original vendor and is then paid by the credit card again.
- To avoid double expensing, a journal entry is also performed to reverse the expense of the first bill. This is a credit to the expense item and a debit to the credit card account.
