Service User Group Security

  User Group Security Options

For a User to be able to use various options within the Service module, certain security privileges must be granted to the User through the User Group Security options within SedonaSetup.  The following User Group Security options located within Application Access/SV security options section pertain to Service and Inspections.

Appointment Summary – Allows the User access to the Appointment scheduling board for service tickets; the User may perform all functions including scheduling, re-scheduling, deleting appointments.

Inspections – Allows the User to generate Inspection tickets.

Print Service Tickets – Allows the User access to print Service Tickets in bulk.

Service Ticket Queue – Allows the User access to all Service Ticket listings; Service Tickets, Inspection Tickets, Vendor Service Tickets, Vendor Inspection Tickets.

Technician Absence – Allow the User to block out times and/or dates on the Appointment Summary during which a technician is not available to be scheduled for work.

Custom Fields (Service) – Allows the User access to Custom Fields form on the Service Ticket Record.  The User may make selections, modify or remove saved data.

Edit Field Notes – Ability to make changes to Field Notes previously saved.  This option should only be assigned to Management level User Groups.

Delete Field Notes – Ability to delete a field note entered on a Service Ticket.  This option should only be assigned to Management level User Groups.

Delete Tickets – Ability to delete a service ticket.  It is highly recommend never to delete a Service Ticket; once a ticket has been deleted it is gone forever.  Rather than delete, create a Resolution code of Void, assign this code to the ticket then close the ticket.

Service Documents – Ability to view/attach documents on a Service Ticket.  SedonaDocs must be purchased to use this feature.

Journal – Access to the Journal tab of a Service Ticket.  The Journal contains a listing of all income and expense transactions recorded to the Ticket.  Users without this permission will not see the Journal tab on a Service Ticket.

Invoicing(AR) - Allows the User to create a Service Invoice.
