Job Type [tab]

The Job Type tab of the Tasks setup is an area where you may enter default hours for various Tasks on the Job Type Task List for specific Job Types.  This setup is helpful when particular types of Jobs require different default hours for Job Tasks common to other Job Types.  Setting up default Job Task hours per Job Type assists in more precise planning and scheduling of Jobs.

You may setup default Job Task hours on certain Job Types or all of your Job Types.

  Setting default hours in this form will not affect any Jobs already created; the defaults will only affect Jobs created after the defaults have been saved.

When clicking on the Job Type tab, you will first select a Job Type from the drop-down list.  Enter the default hours on the desired Tasks.  For Tasks that do not require scheduling, set the Task Length to zero.
