Job Management  Sales Period Close

Sales Period Close

Closing the Sales Period is an optional feature of the Job Management module.  If your company has activated the Restrict Sales Month option in SedonaSetup, you will have the ability to prevent Users from creating any new jobs that fall into a prior sales period (will not be able to back-date jobs).  This functionality is for reporting purposes so that when the month closes your sales reports will be consistent any time they are produced for a prior period.

To activate this feature navigate to SedonaSetup / Setup Processing (JM).  In the lower right area of the Job Processing setup form is section titled Restrict Sales Month.  Selecting this option check box and selecting the Current Month/Year in which your company is entering new jobs and pressing the Apply button will activate this feature.  Once activated, the Sold Date on the Job Work Order form for any new Job entered must be dated in the Month/Year of the current sales period.  If the User attempts to enter a date outside this sales period, a warning message will be displayed to the User.  To be able to save the Work Order form, the User must select a Sold Date within the Sales Period month/year.

Once all Jobs have been entered for the current sales month and your company is ready to move on to the next sales month, the current Sales Period must be closed and advanced to the next month.  Please refer to the next page for instructions.
