Service Service Ticket Overview Labor

Labor Form Definitions (page 3)

Sample Labor Hours Calculation

This example uses the following scenario:  The technician was on site for 3 hours plus one minute.  The technician was dispatch on Saturday (not a holiday).  Labor is not covered by the Service Level assigned to the Service Ticket.  The Service Level Billing Increments is 15 minute increments and the After First Minutes value is 0.  The Service Company normal business hours is Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Labor Calculated:

The labor hours automatically calculated is 3.25 and the labor rate used is the Overtime rate of the Service Level.  Since the Technician was on site more than 3 hours but less than 3 hours and 15 minutes, the hours were rounded up to the next 15 minute increment.  The Overtime labor rate was used because the Technician was dispatched on a Saturday which is outside of the Service Company normal business hours.
