Closing the Ticket

Then final step in processing Service Tickets is to Close the ticket.  If parts were used on the Service Ticket one additional step is added to the process.

15.  Select the Close Ticket option located in the lower left of the Service Ticket then press the Save button.  A message will be displayed confirming you are ready to close the service ticket; press the Yes button to proceed with the ticket closing.  If no parts were used on the Service Ticket, the process ends with this step.  If parts were used, continue on to the next step.

16.  If Parts were used on the Service Ticket, the Load Equipment form will be displayed.  The parts used on the Ticket are displayed in the upper tier.  Any existing System Equipment is listed in the lower tier.  If the part installed on the Ticket is replacing an existing piece of equipment, select the checkbox to the left of the equipment being taken out of service.  When finished press the Save button.

Closed tickets may be opened and view at any time from the Customer Explorer.  Closed tickets will be in view only mode with the exception of Field Notes.  Additional Field Notes may be added to Closed tickets at any time.
