SQL Server Requirements

SQL 2008R2, 2012, 2012R2, 2014 and 2016  Standard Edition* or better (x64)

MUST be installed as the ‘DEFAULT’ instance of SQL

MUST use ‘Mixed Mode’ security

Firewalls MUST have ports 1433 and 4992 (TCP and UDP) open

Virtual Machines supported only with I-SCSI or similar direct hard drive access (info)
